We are looking for a skilled Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to support and enhance the reliability, observability, and automation of our AWS-based big data platform. You’ll work with technologies like OpenSearch, Flink, Kafka, Iceberg, and EKS to ensure stability and scalability

Job description

• Refine and extend observability practices using CloudWatch, Grafana, Loki, and OpenTelemetry

• Design and automate custom alerts to ensure actionable notifications

• Create CI/CD workflows and update playbooks in GitLab

• Document system operations including runbooks and disaster recovery steps

• Reduce false alerts by tuning thresholds and adopting dynamic alerting

• Implement and manage regular manual health checks and operational routines

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience as an SRE or DevOps engineer in a data-heavy environment

• Hands-on experience with observability tools (Grafana, Loki, OpenTelemetry, CloudWatch)

• Familiarity with big data technologies like Apache Flink, Kafka/MSK, OpenSearch, Iceberg

• Experience managing services on Amazon EKS, S3, and EMR

• Proficiency in GitLab CI/CD or similar pipeline tools

• Strong scripting and automation mindset

• Ability to document operational procedures and recovery strategies

• Proactive, structured, and reliability-oriented thinking
