Long-term consulting role focused on stable, secure, and efficient operation of enterprise Linux server infrastructure (primarily Red Hat Enterprise Linux) and Oracle database systems across production, test, and management environments. The role emphasizes administration, monitoring, troubleshooting, and continuous optimization, while collaborating with infrastructure, application, and security teams to meet availability, performance, and compliance standards.
Job description
- Administer, operate, and optimize Linux servers (Red Hat Enterprise Linux) across production, test, and management environments.
- Administer and support Oracle database systems, including monitoring, performance tuning, troubleshooting, and lifecycle management.
- Ensure platform stability, availability, security, and compliance in line with internal IT and security policies.
- Own operational responsibility for assigned systems, including escalation handling and coordination with external vendors when needed.
- Execute and approve technical changes within infrastructure scope according to established processes and documentation standards.
- Support IT service management processes (incident, change, problem management), including root-cause analysis and preventive improvements.
- Cooperate with other infrastructure and application teams and provide backup support/cross-coverage for selected platforms and services when required.

Requirements
- Hands-on experience administering enterprise Linux environments (preferably Red Hat Enterprise Linux).
- Practical Oracle database administration experience, including monitoring, performance tuning, backup/recovery, and incident troubleshooting.
- Experience working in production IT environments with understanding of availability, stability, and security requirements.
- Familiarity with IT service management processes (incident, change, problem management).
- Ability to work independently while following procedures and maintaining clear documentation.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with application teams, security teams, and external vendors.
- Basic understanding of storage technologies and infrastructure components.
- Awareness of security principles (hardening, access management, compliance requirements).
Nice to Have
- Storage and supporting infrastructure know-how (SAN/NAS; tape libraries; UPS/PDU; hardware management interfaces such as iLO/iDRAC), including troubleshooting and vendor coordination.
- Experience operating related infrastructure services (proxy servers; DNS; VPN; document management systems).
- Ability to monitor system health using enterprise monitoring tools and proactively address alerts.
- Strong troubleshooting skills (incident resolution; root-cause analysis; preventive/corrective actions).
- Experience with virtualization platforms, especially VMware ESXi and vCenter.
- Knowledge of backup and replication solutions (preferably Veeam Backup & Replication).
Recommended Certifications (Optional)
- Red Hat (RHCSA/RHCE)
- Oracle Database certifications (DBA or equivalent)
- VMware (VCP or equivalent)
- IT service management training (e.g., ITIL Foundation)
- Security awareness / infrastructure security training
