We’re looking for an AI Specialist / Agentic AI Engineer who wants to work on technologies that actually change how companies operate. You’ll design and refine AI agents on the Microsoft stack (Azure AI, Copilot Studio, Semantic Kernel) and OpenAI, do creative prompt engineering, build and optimise knowledge bases, and tune agent behaviour so they perform like high-impact digital teammates. You can work from anywhere in Slovakia or the EU. We only need you 1–2× per month onsite in Bratislava for workshops, brainstorming sessions, or team meetups. The rest is fully flexible.

Job description

• Agentic Development & AI Engineering – designing and orchestrating AI agents and multi-agent workflows (Microsoft stack: Azure AI, Semantic Kernel, Copilot Studio + OpenAI), vrátane behaviour rules, tools/skills a safety guardrails, plus prompt & system instructions design (prompt chains, stability, predictability).
• Knowledge Base & RAG Engineering – building and tuning knowledge bases (structuring, chunking, retrieval + metadata), implementing and optimising RAG pipelines (retrieval-augmented generation) and troubleshooting answer quality / hallucinations.
• Model Optimisation & Fine-Tuning (for senior profiles) – evaluating and fine-tuning models (accuracy, stability of agent behaviour), designing experiments and working on advanced optimisation topics that most AI devs never touch.
• Integrations & Technical Delivery – integrating agents into client ecosystems (APIs, MS Teams, workflows, CRM), setting up monitoring and incident handling, and collaborating with business & IT on architecture and technical design.
• Consulting & Innovation – explaining AI agents in clear, human language (what they can and can’t do), proposing new AI use cases (client + internal) and continuously bringing in trends from agentic AI, RAG, MLOps and the Microsoft/OpenAI ecosystem into real projects.

Requirements

Must-have

• Experience with agentic programming / AI agents (e.g. Copilot Studio, Semantic Kernel, LangChain, AutoGen or similar).
• Hands-on work with OpenAI / Azure OpenAI (chat, assistants, tools, embeddings).
• Solid prompt engineering skills (system prompts, structured prompting, tool-choice).
• Experience with knowledge bases / RAG (building KBs or implementing RAG pipelines).
• Experience with API integrations + cloud (any major cloud; Azure is a big plus).
• Ability to work independently (experiment, iterate, ship working solutions).
• Willingness to travel to Bratislava 1–2× / month (workshops, team sessions).

Nice to have

• Experience with ML / LLMs (evaluation, optimisation).
• Model fine-tuning (SFT, adapters/LoRA, embeddings tuning).
• Knowledge of the Azure AI stack (Cognitive Search, Functions, Kubernetes, AI Studio, …).
• Experience consulting / presenting AI solutions to business stakeholders (ideally enterprise).
• Python + AI/ML libs (PyTorch, Transformers, etc. – not required, but a strong plus).

Soft skills & mindset

• Curiosity and enthusiasm for agentic AI and real-world production use.
• Ability to explain complex AI topics in simple, practical language.
• Proactive, solution-oriented mindset (focus on real impact, not just fancy demos).
• Comfortable in a fast, pragmatic environment without heavy corporate bureaucracy.

The position is suitable for candidates with education

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, AI or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)

Language skills

English: very good working proficiency (B2+), used for daily communication with clients and internal team.

Slovak or Czech: advantage but not mandatory.

Number of years of experience

3+ years of hands-on experience in machine learning / AI development.
