The Senior Streaming Data Engineer is responsible for designing and operating robust real-time data platforms that handle large volumes of events with low latency. The role combines hands-on development with architectural ownership in cloud-based streaming environments.

Job description

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable streaming data solutions for real-time processing.
• Develop streaming applications using Apache Kafka and Apache Flink with Java.
• Own the end-to-end lifecycle of streaming pipelines, from design to production operations.
• Build and integrate distributed data storage using NoSQL technologies.
• Deploy and run streaming workloads on AWS using managed services and Kubernetes.
• Continuously optimize performance, reliability, and fault tolerance of streaming systems.
• Monitor production pipelines, troubleshoot incidents, and improve system resilience.
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams on data-driven and event-driven architectures.

Requirements

• Proven experience in building and operating real-time streaming systems in production.
• Strong hands-on knowledge of Apache Kafka and Apache Flink (Java).
• Experience with NoSQL databases such as DynamoDB, MongoDB, or Cassandra.
• Solid understanding of distributed systems, event-driven architectures, and stream processing concepts.
• Practical experience with AWS cloud services and containerized environments (Kubernetes).
• Ability to design scalable, fault-tolerant, and high-performance data platforms.
• Senior-level mindset with ownership, problem-solving skills, and technical leadership.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science
